My career began in Detroit in 1992. Since then I have led investment across seven equity funds, resulting in more than $2 billion in property investments and the financing or development of over 10,000 housing units. My focus today is on workforce housing, employer anchored development, and mountain resort communities — the same terrain I write about at danskiandbuild.com.
What I care about outside the spreadsheet.
I spend as much time on a chairlift or a job site as I do underwriting a deal. My real interest is in mountain places other people have written off — distressed assets with a story, underutilized land with real bones — and what it takes to bring them back the right way: workforce housing before second homes, and designs built for the mountain climate we'll actually have, not the one we used to.
